Rolltex FX 1:2 Paintable eyes allows makers the opportunity to self paint and complete their own eyes. Our eye blanks are designed with a textured iris making the process as efficient and effective as possible in very little time.

1 X Pair of white resin Eyes           

The rod attached to the back of the eyes has been designed to aid in the painting process to give the maker an area away from the eye to hold. This also can be used to easily manuevre the eyes into position once they are inside a mask or head prosthetic.

The steps to completion are very straight forward, This is how we made the examples shown in the images and video below.

Step 1- Paint your eyes and iris the desired colours and effects.

Step 2- Lacquer the whites with a clearcoat spray lacquer to create that realistic shine.

Step 3- Using a high viscosity doming resin (We recommend UV cure or Epoxy) build up your layers to seal in the paint over your iris and create the magnifying lens over the eye.

TIP: Build up your resin in a few layers to avoid trapping air bubbles.

NOTE: Other materials mentioned for finishing the eyes are not included.
